WorldLink is a growing non-profit organization based in the Presidio national park, San Francisco. WorldLink designs media, education and civic engagement programs that encourage individuals and groups to actively participate in creating a sustainable future.

Position Overview: 

WorldLink is seeking an experienced program manager for its Nourish: Food + Community initiative. Nourish combines PBS television, short films, school curricula, civic engagement tools, website content, educator seminars, and youth summits. You will be responsible for building a network of collaborating organizations, developing outreach programs, and distributing Nourish media and education tools nationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy and planning for Nourish initiative.
  • Oversee design and development of Nourish outreach programs and selected materials.
  • Build collaborative relationships with a diverse network of organizations working in food system education, health and nutrition, youth leadership, and related areas.
  • Serve as a spokesperson with external audiences, including speaking opportunities and social media platforms.
  • Develop creative ways to promote and distribute educational resources emerging from the Nourish initiative, including a PBS special, short films, curriculum, and civic engagement tool kit.
  • Contribute to proposal writing, donor relationships and grant reporting.
  • Contribute to planning and content for the Nourish website hub.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational and managerial skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Experience with civic engagement and/or public education programs, preferable at a national or state scale.
  • Proven ability to design and implement strategy, identify opportunities and find solutions independently.
  • Prior experience in a management role including direct supervision of other staff and subcontractors.
  • Experience with fundraising, including donor cultivation and proposal writing.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to master complex issues and convey information clearly.
  • Knowledge of and experience with food system issues, sustainability issues, formal and informal education, and/or related areas.
