Modern Spirits Group has an opening for a Northeastern regional sales director to help build and maintain the company's emerging brands -- TRU Organic Vodka and Modern Spirits Artisan Vodka. This position offers a unique opportunity to build the first organic, ecological and sustainable vodka in the marketplace.

Position Overview:

The regional director will report directly to the national sales and play both a strategic and "street" role to help expand Modern Spirits' presence in current and new markets. The right candidate should possess an entrepreneurial spirit and have good relations with area restaurants and retailers. Core duties will include opening and maintaining key accounts, helping develop and implement sales programs, managing distributor relationships, as well as overseeing their inventories and pricing.

Workweek is M-F, with occasional weekend/holiday hours as necessary. Normal working hours vary.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall territory responsibility with major on-premise focus in New York City.
  • Providing weekly and monthly sales reports, including progress against goals
  • Managing the company's relationship with our local distributors in NY, NJ and CT
  • Working with sales director to develop and implement new initiatives (e.g., programs, events and promotions) to help drive sales.
  • Providing exemplary customer service to new and existing accounts.
  • Possibility of growth to manage entire North East (including New England and Mid Atlantic) based on performance.

Qualifications:

College graduate with min. 5 years experience in the liquor or restaurant distribution industry. The candidate should live in New York or nearby, have a valid driver license, a clean driving record, current car insurance and own/have access to a vehicle. You should also have a laptop.

Compensation:  Salary + Commission + Expenses + Stake in Company
