2006 Part-time Summer Internship Announcement

Northwest Natural Resource Group is seeking a part time summer intern to update, edit, and digitize a Non-Timber Forest Products manual. This manual was produced in 2002 as a guide for landowners and harvesters to encourage sustainable and responsible harvest.

Opportunities include:  Updating the old manual including date dependent material, adding new maps and layouts, etc; Developing an electronic version for web publication; Adding new species to the manual (as expertise allows).

The ideal applicant will have:  Knowledge of and interest in stewardship forestry and non-timber forest products; Electronic publishing skills; Written Spanish language skills (the manual is also available in Spanish). 

This opportunity will be part time with flexible hours and location. A small stipend is available.
