Mesoamrica Travel an incoming tour operator who is based in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Mesoamrica Travel strongly believes that tourism is a justifiable activity if it does contribute to the protection of flora and fauna, the prevention and repair of environmental degradation, the economic well-being of local communities, the respect and tolerance for our cultures; we work daily to translate these beliefs into action. We link commercial tourism to local conservation programs working in close cooperation with the organizations in charge of protected areas, managing natural resources and community development. We support business by buying local goods and services. Most of all we encourage and create opportunities for authentic, meaningful and beneficial cross-cultural interactions between travelers and local people.
We are looking for a Nature Tour Leader and a contract of 6 months starting October/November this year with possible future contract extensions. The work will require guiding tourists to all parts of Honduras from the Mosquita to the
Ruins of Copan. A driver's license is required. Applicants must have a background in biology, preferably a degree or masters, and speak Spanish & German or Spanish & English, ideally Spanish, German & English. Salary will depend on experience and qualifications.
