Multifamily Community Outreach Specialist (AmeriCorps)

Position Overview: 

The Multifamily Community Outreach Specialist (MCOS) will provied direct resource conservation education and outreach to affordable and low-income housing communities by building relationships with on-site property managers, residents and resident service coordinators.

Responsibilities: 

Primary focus is:

• Assessment of baseline recycling at multiple locations including field visits and data collection; development of strategic outreach plan(s) involving presentations, youth engagement, green team mentoring, etc.
• Assist to increase City of Portland presence at community events and engage citizens around recycling (primary) and other environmental concerns including thoughtful consumption, increased food security, composting, and climate change (secondary)
• Program evalutaion and development including data entry, analysis and review
