Anemometry Specialists was founded in 2002 by Rob and Tara Hach. Rob has been involved in the wind energy business since 1994 learning the ropes from some of the early pioneers of the wind energy market. Anemometry Specialists began with two employees and now employs 27 full time experienced staff members.

Anemometry Specialists is a full service wind energy assessment company.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with a crew of Technicians installing met towers to ensure client satisfaction and stimulate repeat business; will include assisting in pre-installation site layout, some layout, some analysis and reporting; quality and on-site safety assurance; and effective coordination with the Lead Technician and others on the crew.
  • Attends regular tailgate safety meetings.
  • Effectively executes responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Technician including, but not limited to; site pre-installation, and post installation checklists, site layout, guy wire adjustments, and communication with Lead Technician and other crew members.
  • Pre-installation site layout may include, but is not limited to: anchor installation, guy wire layouts, tower tube assembly, boom and sensor installation.
  • Completes all required paperwork in a timely manner, including but limited to, time records.
  • Enforces all company policies and procedures; safety practices. Adheres to all client-related safety requirements.

  • Equipment knowledge: Ditch witch, Skid loader, jack hammer, welder, sledge hammer, power tools, two way radios, computer, calculator, GPS, compass, angle finder, winch, etc.
  • Visual Acuity: working with data figures, reading and working on computer terminal, reading job orientation sheets. Some calibration of sensors and instruments.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body.
  • Be able to reach overhead.
  • Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended period of time.
  • Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions.  Overnight travel is required.

Compensation: $12.00 - $15.00 (Hourly Wage)
