Marketing Coordinator

Position Overview 

Positive Energy Solar Marketing Coordinators are responsible for increasing Positive Energy Solar's brand recognition, generating leads and educating the community about solar. 

Responsibilities  

• The Marketing Coordinator does this by creating events; extensive networking; engaging community partners; overseeing marketing campaigns; gathering market intelligence and engaging in social media.
• The Marketing Coordinator invents a creative array of activities includingeverything from hosting a community solar workshop; teaching a high school environmental studies class; creating a July 4 parade float; curating a solar-inspired art gallery; tabling at the local farmers' market; or drafting the a local organizations solar challenge resolution.
• The Marketing Coordinator establishes relationships with local media to keep Positive Energy Solar in the news; participates in design, production and monitoring of marketing campaigns and contributes to a vibrant social media presence.
• The successful candidate is excited about increasing solar adoption in their community; has a robust professional network; has experience and insight into creative marketing and branding strategies; creates professional presence at events and teams with sales to generate leads.

• Ability to work in our open office environment, comfortable with the proximity of colleagues engaged in similar volumes of work
• Effective time management since much of the work is done independently, in the field
• Speaking with poise and presence in front of audiences
• Making contact with community leaders to introduce Positive Energy Solar and establish partnership
• Recruiting community members to educational events
• Help develop and analyze local marketing efforts and critically asses every campaign to effectively drive lead generation and positively represent the brand.
• Working with potential customers to schedule home visits
• Building relationships with customers, community leaders, businesses and organizations
• Organize Events
• Create a vibrant social media presence
• Design and execute marketing campaigns 

The ideal candidate for this position will have: 

• A Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communication, or Advertising or a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
• Experience leading a project, program, or campaign
• Skill with public speaking and media relations
• A flexible schedule
• A willingness to meet with solar homeowners and community leaders and to attend events outside the typical 9-5 workday.
• Infectious passion for our shared vision of a clean energy future
• A personal network in the geography the position serves
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to write press releases
• Must be a team player
• Ability to legally and safely operate a motor vehicle required
• Ability to carry and setup equipment and materials
