Marketing Assistant

Organically Grown Company, the Northwest’s Premier distributor of organic produce, is seeking a Marketing Assistant to be based its Eugene facility. With warehouses in Portland and Eugene, Oregon, and Kent, Washington, OGC serves over 200 natural and fine foods stores and restaurants located throughout western Oregon and Washington, as well as retail and wholesale accounts in other western states and Canada. Position Overview:

• Responsible for providing technical, clerical and administrative support to the Marketing team.
• Responsible for coordinating all aspects of internal and external events;  handling communication projects including internal OGC and social media, developing merchandising and promotional materials; and handling customer and public questions and requests. 

Responsibilities:

• Assists in planning events; Coordinates the logistics and all marketing administrative support needs for internal and external company-sponsored events at OGC.
• Provides support and coordination for web and social media campaigns for OGC
• Assists in creating and editing the marketing report and other OGC internal and external communications. Stays current on issues related to organics, food, and industry events. 
• Provides administrative support for community projects including GROW, Project Amigo and Farm to School Apple Program
• Provides creative input on POP, merchandising and marketing materials; Acts as a liaison with Paintworks Design in designing, printing and distributing materials. 
• Provides general marketing office support including writing and proofreading documents.  Updates and monitors the master list of vendors, accounts and community organizations used to produce OGC mailings.

Qualifications: 

Knowledge and Experience Qualifications:

• High school diploma plus a 4-year degree, with at least 2 years of marketing experience, or overall equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of organic produce trade preferred.
• Experience with writing and proofreading marketing materials and organizing events.
• Previous experience working for an organization with aspirational sustainability goals desired.

Compensation: Pay Range $15.40 - $24.06. Benefits include:
