Position Overview:
The Marketing and Sales Readiness Manager, Sustainability Solutions translates Autodesk's Sustainable Buildings, Infrastructure and Manufacturing vision and growing product and service offerings into lucrative and repeatable sales plays in US and European Named Accounts by developing a Sustainability Solutions Marketing and Sales Readiness platform.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate the value proposition of Autodesk's product portfolio by defining and promoting Sustainability Solutions Packaged Offerings for Named Accounts.
- Categorize and prioritize sustainability solution platforms which address executive business challenges (Ex: Factory Energy Management).
- Develop clear positioning and messaging for the packaged offerings.
- Integrate messages into Industry-Specific Marketing Campaigns.
- Influence Industry-Specific Marketing plans for pricing, positioning, and geographic priority based on market research from Sustainability Solutions team.
- Enable Autodesk Sales to solve the customer's energy, water, and materials challenges to maximize product and consulting revenue in Named Accounts
- Research and develop appropriate sales tools to support sales with packaged Industry Service Offering. This may include videos, playbooks, presentations, brochures, and customer references.
- With Industry Marketing, develop customer success stories to support packaged offerings.
- Create program to support ambitious, creative sales reps to champion and validate solutions through pilot customers.
- Partner with Sales Development Program Managers in each industry to develop a selling methodology or playbook which includes the target audience, the key steps of the cycle, how to use the new materials, objection handling, and the process to engage Technical Sales.
- Partner with Named Account Sales reps to catalog the sustainability challenges of Named Accounts and identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, or prospecting.
- Based on experience with customers and our offerings, contribute to Sales Development proposals (i.e. Requests for Information, Requests for Proposal, etc).
- Package and develop content for Customer Executive Briefings throughout the year, including at AU.
- Play a key role in communicating customer requirements back to Industry Managers and Product Managers.
With support from the PR and Web teams, revamp how sustainability is framed for our customers, with an emphasis on:
- Interactive tools that help identify the relevant software and service capabilities.
- Demonstrated and unique expertise in sustainable buildings, infrastructure, and manufacturing, rather than general claims about being a good corporate citizen.
- Integration of Sustainability Solutions content into specific Product and Industry web properties.
- Develop and execute on Social media plans in lieu of traditional media.
- Collect and distribute relevant thought leadership articles through sales channel.
- Lead internal communications for Sustainability Solutions via quarterly newsletters and occasional strategy videos.
- Increase visibility and understanding of the team within Autodesk.
- Publish relevant news to internal website.
- Work with other communication managers to integrate messages and amplify wins.
- Work with Marketing Intelligence and Business Analysts, to help set up quantitative tracking to measure profitability and repeatability.
- Measure repeatability of Sales plays and evaluate opportunities to expand into China, Australia and Brazil.
- Help Operations define how product data is collected so customer usage and revenue can eventually be tracked for sustainability features and workflows.
Qualifications:
- 4 years experience in strategic and/or software marketing.
- 3 years experiences in sales, business development or consulting.
- 2 years experience with energy, water, or sustainable materials issues.
- Competency in working across divisions in a large, highly matrixed organization.
- Relevant certification (e.g. LEED AP, ASHRAE, Cradle-to-Cradle, etc.) or strong understanding of the regulatory context.
- Graduate degree in Environmental Science, Design, or Business a plus.
- Exposure to Autodesk software tools a plus.
- Self-starter comfortable shaping a newcompetency for ADSK.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Sales Development, Named Account reps, Industry & Field Marketing, and Customer Executives.
- Decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written & oral communications skills a must.
