Marketing and Media Relations Intern

Maxim Hygiene Products is a fresh, new entrepreneurial company that's changing the face and feel of feminine hygiene with Maxim, a line of Organic and Natural Cotton Tampons, Sanitary Pads, and Cosmetic Accessories.

Maxim products address and resolve major health and environmental concerns associated with the use and production of conventional feminine hygiene and cotton products, by making products made with Soft, Safe and Natural ingredients. 

Responsibilities:

• Generate product and brand awareness through the use and creation of blogs, webinars, social networking sites and other forms of "new media" like Facebook, MySpace, YouTube and Flickr
• Copywriting and editing for print and web publication
• Develop press lists and work on press outreach
• Guerilla street marketing
• Design and create enticing promotional literature, marketing tools and product presentations
• Develop new outreach platforms
• Identify and cultivate relationships with industry relevant associations
• Customer Service and Product Training
• Attend different trade shows and other promotional events
• Light telemarketing sales
• Reception and other general administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication, writing, editing, research and computer skills.
• Experience with HTML, Photoshop and Illustrator is a BIG PLUS, though not necessary
• Internet savvy
• Patience, Persistence, Self-Motivated, and Hard-Working.
• Strong belief and value for our niche product line in the Organic and Natural market.
• Willingness to pitch in where needed.
• Access to a car not a must but a big plus

Commitment:

• School Semester: 10 - 15 hours per week during usual business hours
• Summer Break: 20 - 25 hours per week during usual business hours
• Flexible start and end days

Compensation: Hourly wage will be determined on experience and skills.
