Rails-to-Trails Conservancy is a nonprofit trails & greenways organization.

Position Overview:

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy seeks a Trail Development Manager for the Western Regional Office (in San Francisco) to support communities in their trail planning efforts by providing technical assistance, conducting public outreach & training workshops, conducting trail-based activity programs and building partnerships with local agencies and stakeholders in the recreation, transportation, public health and conservation fields.  

Position requires excellent writing & speaking skills and time & budget management; ability to build coalitions among diverse constituencies.

Qualifications:

4 year college degree in urban/regional planning, land use management, parks/recreation, alternative transportation or related field plus 3-5 years related experience.

Compensation: DOE, plus benefits.
