Position Overview
Rail to Trails Conservancy is actively recruiting for a Manager of Policy Outreach for our Policy division. This is a fantastic job opportunity for those with a strong background and interest in active transportation issues.
We're seeking a resourceful and creative communicator with online and in-person grassroots organizing skills to play a key role in building a movement for active transportation.

Responsibilities
- Build broad-based network of partner organizations, nationally and in priority states, to advocate for active transportation policies.
- Strengthen state and local coalitions working to increase public funding.
- Manage a web-based advocacy network for trail and active transportation activists.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field, such as planning or political science, with 3 or more years direct work experience.
- Understanding of transportation policies; organizing coalitions; policy and legislation, and a passion for trails, walking, and biking.
- Must have excellent written/verbal communications skills; grassroots organizing experience.
- Computer skills: MS Word, and data base.
