Position Overview:
As Manager of Sales Administration you will manage and facilitate key project assignments employing effective team leadership, facilitation and project management skills. You will develop revenue risk metrics associated with project performance in coordination with the Finance Manager. You will track and secure management/project team leadership performance against project deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Create processes and organization that delivers functionality for the sales area while eliminating inefficiencies
- Design, implement and refine sales processes that promote efficiencies, analytics and sales growth
- Forecasting: responsible for sales area, business planning, forecasting and sales reporting. Provide opportunity analysis as it relates to promotional, market share and distribution
- Sales budget/expense tracking. Responsible for the oversight of said budgets reporting to sales management on a monthly basis
- Responsible for strategic planning and execution to enhance the sales department's profitability, productivity and efficiency
- Develop and implement productivity metrics designed to minimize costs, enhance efficiencies and improve field sales experience
- Utilize future CRM System to ensure opportunities are identified and appropriately tracked. Oversee sales activity reporting/call reports through CRM
- Own sales administration policies and procedures including travel and expense reimbursement. Provide support to the field including samples, presentation materials and mailings
- Sales Regional/Territory development analysis as it relates to market coverage, scope and mapping i.e. routing, coverage frequency and calendar maintenance
- Translate the organizations vision, values & business goals with alignment on individual and team sales goals
- Create an environment that fosters innovation, new ideas and collaboration with Sales and Marketing
- Participate in vendor negotiations as relevant to the sales area
- Interact daily with RLNS executive team, department heads and field sales to insure priorities are aligned with total company direction
- Lead by example in creating an environment that encourages open communication, sharing of ideas and best in practices and strong cross-functional partnerships
- Take ownership and responsibility for sales training initiatives
- Working with Marketing and Finance to establish a best in practice category development platform
- Provide Monthly reporting on all department activities and initiatives
- Responsible for management of Inside Sales Support Department (4 direct reports)
Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience in Sales Administration/Support and Project Management within CPG and/or Natural Products Industry -direct selling environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Experience of CRM development & management a plus
- Strong communication skills
- 4 year degree in Business Administration; MBA a plus
- Willing to relocate
