Manager CSR Services

Position Overview: 
The Manager, CSR Services, reporting to the Director, CSR Services will play a significant role in helping to serve BSRs clients and members in the Pharmaceutical and High Tech industries. The managers primary function will be to share responsibility for developing, implementing, and managing business advisory services. In addition, the Manager will contribute to recruitment and retention strategies for these sectors. The Manager should be comfortable in establishing contact with key company leaders, promoting membership and BSR's products and services and serve as a liaison with some member companies. The Manager will also contribute to the development of industry-focused research products and services. 

Position Responsibilities: 
Design and implement/deliver advisory services projects that serve BSR clients needs; Build and maintain relationships with BSR member companies and potential member companies, NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders; Work to support collaborative efforts including CSR industry issue groups, convening groups of companies, and companies engagements with stakeholders; Conduct outreach to engage additional companies in efforts to address CSR issues through work with BSR, listen to client needs and scope projects; Write analyses of business practices and summarize key findings from the business working groups. Contribute to industry-specific research; Create and follow project timelines; Work directly with business leaders and decision makers to help identify opportunities and develop strategies for implementing CSR policy and practice; Work with BSR staff cross-functionally to apply content expertise within CSR strategies and practices; Performs other duties as required and assigned by the Director, CSR Services.

Desired Qualifications:
At a minimum, the applicant should have: Advanced degree in business, law, policy, or related fields or equivalent; Five to seven years professional experience, including experience managing multiple, complex projects involving diverse stakeholders; Demonstrated knowledge of the pharmaceutical and ICT sectors.  Strong communication and writing skills

Desirable candidates will also have at least some combination of the following: Business experience, including extensive knowledge of decision-making processes and operation issues; A knowledge and understanding of key CSR issue areas as they impact the pharmaceutical and high tech sectors; Experience in management consulting within an organization or company; Direct experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors; Issue area expertise in one or more key CSR areas (e.g., stakeholder engagement, supply chain management); Ability to engage confidently with senior corporate managers and executives Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and concisely; Experience with and understanding of the dynamics of public, private and non-profit sectors and how those sectors can most effectively intersect; Well-developed leadership, organizational, project planning and people skills, with a demonstrated ability to enhance the skills and effectiveness of other team members; Strong attention to detail; Presentation and facilitation skills; Understanding of diverse cultures; experience living and working abroad, ideally in developing country(ies) preferred; Willingness to travel up to 25 percent of time; Experience and comfort with working in an entrepreneurial environment; High ethical standards.
