Major Gifts Manager

Position Overview

New Jersey Conservation Foundation is seeking a full time Major Gifts Manager. The Major Gifts Manager will report to the Assistant Director and coordinate closely with the development team. Evening and weekend hours required on occasion as needed.

Responsibilities:

• The Major Gifts Manager will expand and grow the major donor program and manage its implementation.
• The Manager will create opportunities to foster meaningful interactions between major donors and the NJ Conservation Foundation, including arranging one-on-one meetings, small cultivation events and assisting with larger fundraising events, with the goal of furthering both short and long-term relationships and financial support.

Qualifications include:

• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communications skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills; experience in major donor fundraising;
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task and work well as a team member;
• Bachelor’s degree, with two years minimum development experience; and
• Proficiency with computer programs, including Word, Excel, and preferably fundraising database program(s).
