Description

Ecology Action of Santa Cruz is seeking four Lighting Efficiency Auditors to join our Energy Team, working on the RightLights Program.

The $5 million 2-year program provides turn-key lighting efficiency improvements to small businesses in Santa Clara, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito  counties, with publicly-funded rebates covering much of the cost.

RightLights is slated to sell and install 2500 lighting retrofits by the end of 2005. In the 2002-2003 version of the program, rebates covered an average of 75% of retrofit costs, with about 2 out of 3 covered 100%.

To minimize travel time, we seek to hire auditors who reside in the counties they will serve.

Ecology Action is an environmental nonprofit organization delivering cutting-edge educational services, technical assistance, and program design and implementation.

Since the first Earth Day in 1970, Ecology Action has provided community-based programs that instill environmental awareness, promote pragmatic change, and create opportunities for individuals, businesses, and communities to save money, create jobs, and contribute to a sustainable local economy. Recipient of the prestigious Governors Environmental and Economic Leadership Award in 2003, Ecology Actions client list includes private businesses, philanthropic foundations, as well as state, federal and local governments.
