Description

The U.S. Green Building Council, a rapidly-growing Washington, DC-based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting environmentally-responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work, is currently seeking a Program Manager to support the expansion of the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System into the field of residential buildings.

The LEED-Homes Program Manager will guide the development of the LEED for Homes Rating System for promoting environmentally sustainable residential building practices.

The Homes Program Manager will work with technical committees, staff and contractors to engage industry stakeholders and experts including local and national homebuilding organizations in developing technical assessment criteria and procedures through a consensus-based process.

Responsibilities include outreach and facilitation, program and budget planning; staff, contractor and financial management; and committee support and coordination.

Requirements: Candidates must have a Bachelors degree, 5-10 years of relevant experience in the home-building industry, and excellent management and communications skills.

Required Education: 4 Year Degree
