The Green Building Certification Institute, a separately incorporated entity with the support of the U.S. Green Building Council responsible for credentialing programs related to green building practices as defined by industry systems such as the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating SystemsTM, is currently seeking a detail-oriented professional to support its LEED professional credentialing program.

Position Overview: 

The LEED Credentialing Auditing Program Associate is an entry-level position that will initiate, perform, and maintain the review of Credentialing Maintenance documentation. The associate will conduct audits of LEED professionals for compliance with Credentialing Maintenance Program (CMP) requirements. This position will also be responsible for maintaining up to date training of all internal and external customer service representatives.  This individual will assist customer service representatives with the escalation of LEED Professional issues surrounding the CMP program.

Responsibilities:

  • Audit Function:
    • Provide LEED Credentialed Professionals with technical customer assistance; i.e. CMP appeals, requests for special waivers, data requests, and certificate reprints.
    • Continued support of Internal and External Customer Service Team
    • Communication with credentialing staff to identify potential customer service issues and preventative measures.
    • Work with customer service management to assist in training development and data capture.
    • Support in the day-to-day operations of customer service.
    • Assist in the approval of special waiver requests as appropriate
    • Assist in processing standard reports
  • Customer Service:
    • Develop and sustain contact with LEED Professionals to ensure an open, efficient, and comprehensive review of the selected submittals.
    • Assist in the development, dissemination, and enforcement of eligibility standards, policies and procedures.
    • Perform research and analysis into the validity and relevance of candidates' documentation demonstrating compliance.
    • Assist in the maintenance of the system in order to provide and sustain a reliable and thorough review process.
    • Communicate with IT vendors to ensure proper data updating for candidate records and directory listings

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS
  • Must possess the sound judgment, professionalism, and reliability needed to support exam candidates and safeguard confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and Outlook. 
  • General understanding of relational databases. (e.g., Access) Experience with SAP is a plus
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
  • Good people skills, ability to find solutions to difficult situations and respond in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
  • Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and multitask
