Position Overview:
The West Virginia University Research Corporation (WVURC) seeks to hire a Lead Land Use Attorney for the Land Use and Sustainable Development Law Clinic at the WVU College of Law. Incumbent will primarily be responsible for overseeing, planning, directing, and coordinating the outreach, education, and training directed at county and local government officials to promote adoption of sustainable land use policies and practices; will be responsible for leading two 4-day intensive training programs annually for local government officials and other stakeholders within specified WV watersheds.
Qualifications:
J.D. from ABA-accredited law school; significant experience in clinic or public interest law practice involving land use, watershed protection, sustainability, energy or environmental issues; and experience supervising the personnel of a unit/department are required.
