Job Description:

Our client provides comprehensive environmental, engineering, planning, design and project management services to a wide variety of clients within the industrial, commercial and private industries. The position rests within the Environment and Consents Team within Ingencos East Kilbride Head Office. Projects which the Team are involved in and which the successful applicant will be working on, include EIAs for Renewable Energy Schemes (Windfarm and Hydro), Power Generation Stations, Gas Storage/Processing Facilities, Gas/Electricity Transmission Lines and Waste to Energy schemes.

The business has approximately 370 engineers, scientists, environmental consultants and planners, offering project management, engineering design, scientific consultancy and project implementation services to a UK and world-wide customer base.
The environmental capability is centred on the Environment and Consents Team which includes disciplines such as environmental impact assessment, environmental management, operational consents management and facilities management. This Team supports the other mainstream engineering disciplines of energy and power systems, nuclear engineering, process, mechanical, civil, control & instrumentation and electrical engineering and chemical & analytical services.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

Undertake Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment in accordance with latest Landscape Institute methodology including: site visit and assessment, client liaison, project design, viewpoint assessment and photography, review of landscape character reports and consultation with statutory and non-statutory bodies, report writing, management of figure and graphic production.

Project management of landscape budgets as part of EIA and ES preparation and other wider team projects. Provide project management of landscape contracts, cost control of fees, programmes and variations.

Environmental Project Management cost control, team management, management of consultants (ecologists, archaeologist, and landscape architects).

Provide landscape advice to other team members within Ingenco and clients.

Provide landscape design and management services mainly for industrial sites and services producing plans, sections and colour drawings.

Provide landscape contract management services including detailed design, specification, bills of quantity, tendering, contract management, inspection and site supervision.

Client care and progress reporting.
Business development, prepare information for landscape fee tenders, project briefs and wider proposals and tenders.

Up-keep enthusiastic training and interest in Ingenco business and development.

Review practices and procedures with aim of continued improvement of service and ensure QA implementation.

Implement normal health and safety measures in carrying out landscape work, prepare designers risk assessments.

Provide supervision and direction of landscape assistants and other junior team members when working as part of that team.

Will be responsible to the Environment and Consents Team Leader.

Experience in software products to develop wireframes and photomontages considered as an advantage.

Qualifications and Requirements


Member of the Landscape Institute, qualified to Part IV with min 5 years experience.

Proficient in use of Word, Project Manager, AutoCAD, CorelDRAW.

Current Driving Licence
