Founded in 2000, Dagher Engineering is a full service engineering firm specializing in mechanical, electrical, plumbing/fire protection, and sustainable consulting for new construction, renovations and adaptive re-use projects. We have experience in a wide range of building types for both public and private sector clients, including Commercial Offices, Cultural Works, Education, Government, Healthcare, Hospitality, Mixed-use, Residential and Retail.
Position Overview:
We are currently hiring a Junior Sustainability Consultant. The primary focus of this position is LEED certification coordination, review, and research. The successful candidate shall demonstrate the ability to use organizational and communication skills to provide support to projects seeking LEED certification.
This person must be pro-active, willing to learn, and innovative. This support position offers learning potential to professionals newly entering the field. Travel is not anticipated. This position is located in Manhattan, New York.
Responsibilities:
The Junior Sustainability Consultant performs the following tasks:
- Provides LEED documentation management, review and support for the design and construction administration process.
- Supports project teams with basic research and compliance.
- Manages client inquiries with USGBC in a timely manner.
- Provides technical and analytical support to project teams as needed.
- Under guided supervision, manages multiple green building projects, creates and maintains. work plans, project schedules and, project status reports to supervisor and clients.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree in construction admin., sustainable building, architecture, engineering, or allied field.
- 1 to 2 years professional experience in an office work environment.
- At minimum a LEED Green Associate with ability to obtain AP and specialty within the first 6 months of employment.
- Strong writing and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Innovation, problem solving, and negotiating skills a plus.
