Position Overview:
The IT Help Desk Support Administrator will support over 60 users both on-site and working remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer-focused support for daily activities including desktop support and technical operations
- Diagnose network problems, hardware/software issues, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance, use diagnostic utilities, and learn to use new tools
- Participate in special projects such as office and network computer equipment moves as well as repair and maintenance of existing equipment
- Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and other "frequently asked questions" resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution
- Collaborate with Network Security specialist/network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the center's desktop computing environment
Qualifications:
A degree in Computer Science is preferred. Candidates should have experience with desktop and server operating systems in an Active Directory environment, including Windows XP, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows server. Additional skills/attributes include:
- Extensive application knowledge with Microsoft Office and the entire Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with mobile devices and operating systems
- Familiarity with client management and incidence reporting software is a plus
- Self motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with little supervision
- Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Aptitude to quickly grasp new technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work outside of the typical 9-to-5 work day
- Minimal travel may be required
