Position Overview

We are searching for an experienced IT Business Analyst  at our CO- Colorado Headquarters COHQ facility.

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for scoping, feasibility, requirements gathering and business case development of IT technology solutions. In addition, the IT Business Analyst will be a technical SME for some projects including but not limited to security assessment, data mapping and analysis, functionality validation, and other responsibilities depending on the initiative.

This Americas IT function forms part of the wider Global Services function. The successful candidate will work closely with the regional and Group IT as well as business functions to support operations as required. The IT Business Analyst will model the best customer service and leadership behaviors for the team.

This role will have internal team governance responsibilities and will also support operations personnel in their continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

Specific duties:

  • Gather business requirements, conducts needs assessments, and develops functional specifications to ensure that developed information technology solutions support business objectives
  • Serve as a liaison between support teams/development teams and the internal/external customer
  • Identify and prioritize technical and functional requirements
  • Document technical specifications, business processes, and project requirements
  • May develop user documentation, training materials, and test plans.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends solutions
  • May assist other IT team members in the development of policies related to IT
  • Keep enterprise architecture documentation and tools up to date • Assist in the prioritization of business/operations project proposals
  • Perform or lead feasibility studies on new technologies/solutions
  • Develop business cases for solutions using standard criteria which feed into project prioritization/capital effectiveness processes • Proactively learns new product and service technologies
  • Assist in the creation of impact assessments and test plans either as an individual or in conjunction with other teams
  • Collaborate closely with support/business teams assist in resolving project-related technical issues on or after go-live

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Business and industry knowledge (operations & corporate)
  • In-depth knowledge of key IT operations solutions and solutions categories
  • Familiarity with Project Management, as a team member and SME REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Business acumen
  • Strong customer service mind-set
  • Strong IT Background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective prioritization and project management skills
  • Willing to work on a project through its entire lifecycle with a ‘can do’ attitude • Demonstrated informal leadership of larger work activities or project areas

Areas of Preferred Experience:

  • Improvement methodologies –ITIL, LEAN, Six Sigma, Kanban, etc.
  • Demonstrated informal leadership of larger work activities or project areas
  • 3-7 years’ experience preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or business, or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Strong skills in teamwork in a global environment
  • Focus on detail and quality

  • Anticipated base salary range: $69,000-$100,000k
  • The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
  • This position is bonus eligible.
