Intern

~ Distributed Sun develops, finances, owns and operates commercial and industrial, municipal, university, military and small-to-medium utility scale solar projects. ~

Our solar projects are financed through both D-SUN-managed Solar Energy Investment Companies (SEICs currently operating in 7 US states) and over $1B of network finance capacity. In addition to our deal flow and finance engines, D-SUN provides transaction and diligence underwriting services, and co-founded the truSolar® initiative, to provide the marketplace with technology and standards for screening, scoring and selecting premium investments in solar assets. 

Position Overview

Distributed Sun (D-SUN) is seeking enthusiastic interns with an interest in solar project development for the following departments:

• Business Development
• Marketing
• Finance
• Engineering
• Policy & Market Research 

Interns have an opportunity to gain valuable experience with a rapidly growing solar industry leader. Intern duties range from assisting solar array design to financial modeling to researching potential new clients and state markets.

Preference is given to interns with relevant experience and/or an interest in the solar industry. Many effective interns have been offered full-time positions after successful completion of their internship.

Intern Requirements

• Relevant coursework in marketing, finance, engineering, environmental studies, policy, and/or market research;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Aptitude for working independently and producing results with minimal supervision;
• Enthusiasm for working in a fast paced, changing environment; and
• A passion for building a new energy future.
