Green Event Logistics: SpaceShare builds systems to help people rely on and strengthen their community, rather than use up resources. Our first project builds online "green travel" carpooling, room-sharing & networking systems for events: tools to help people travel to events with their neighbors.
Your role: We're looking for someone to research large events of many types (academic conferences, festivals, etc), and convince them to use our tools to make their event green. Your role would also include searching for Green Sponsors for some of those events. You'll need basic sales skills, the ability to get on the phone and convince event planners that providing carpooling is worth their while, convince sponsors that this is a good deal for both them and the planet.
Great experience: learn about running a business, looks great on a resume, could become a job, telecommuting fine... and we hope to make this a paid internship.
