Position Overview:

Load green beans into green bean holding bins according to schedule. Work with green receiving and roasting for smooth work process flow. Fill out all paperwork that is required and enter all transactions into PeopleSoft system. Hours are: Friday - Sunday, 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Load green beans into green bean holding bins 
  • Clean green bean cleaner and green bean warehouse 
  • Verify green bean bins, ensuring no overflow occurs 
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area 
  • Record all transactions and enter data into PeopleSoft and Praxis Systems 
  • Manage FIFO tracking 
  • Document and execute Organic cleans 
  • Conduct inventory and cycle counts when requested and run queries 
  • Provide assistance in other areas as needed 
  • Adhere to Federal, State, local and GMCR safety policies and procedures 
  • Bail Burlap

Other Necessary Functions:

  • Operate equipment such as the Strong Arm 
  • Operates forklifts and/or other mechanical assistance devices to efficiently move product incident free
  • Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by GMCR and the department
  • Performs other duties as requested by management

  • Offsite inventory management, receipts to and communication with the various warehouses
  • SOX compliance and understanding as well as area Organic policies for compliance with Organic certifications
  • Knowledge and use of the PeopleSoft computer program
  • Creation of departmental documentation for training new and current employees

Qualifications:

  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft applications 
  • Basic math skills 
  • Basic mechanical skills 
  • Knowledge of inventory control systems 
  • Ability to lift 150 pound bags (mechanical assistance available) 
  • Flexible, self motivated team player with the ability to follow direction and at times work independently 
  • Ability to drive a forklift 
  • Safety conscious 
  • Ability to lift, bend stretch and stand during entire shift 
  • Ability to work overtime and flexible hours 
  • Strong attention to detail is a must 
  • Ability to follow GMCR policies and procedures 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule 
  • Ability to get along with others 
  • Ability to be punctual 
  • Positive attitude with ability to work a fast paced environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis & 50 pounds occasionally 
  • Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend and stoop 
  • Ability to stand during entire shift 
  • Ability to twist, kneel and reach overhead required 
  • Ability to lift, bend, stretch and stand during entire shift 
  • Repetitive motion is involved
