Description

The Southeast Alaska Conservation Council (SEACC), one of Americas premiere grassroots organizations, seeks a full-time organizer to join our dedicated team of conservation activists.

Duties:


The organizer is primarily responsible for working with community leaders on water quality and mining issues on the Tongass National Forest, the worlds largest temperate rainforest.


Qualifications:


The right person is highly motivated and willing to learn, enjoys working with diverse people, and has excellent communication and writing skills. Knowledge of Clean Water Act, hard rock mining, or transboundary issues a plus. We are seeking a future conservation leader who wants to learn successful grassroots activism.


Based in Juneau.


Salary starts at $30,000 plus benefits depending on experience.
