Description
A restructuring natural and organic foods wholesale cooperative, with a 13 state territory in the upper midwest, is seeking a qualified general manager to lead the organization into new growth opportunities, stronger financial development, and improved operational stability. The right person will possess a background in the areas of marketing, finance and logistics and the ability to create positive, quantifiable results. The Board of Directors will interview candidates whose executive management history demonstrate significant positive turnaround success in the above noted areas within a measurable time frame. Important are the ability to develop and lead a management team in an environment of open communication, and a strong customer and vendor focus.
Requirements for the position include but are not limited to, the ability to plan and communicate with a Board of Directors, to direct operations, to guide sales and marketing programs, to oversee staff and managers, to serve as a spokesperson for the cooperative, and to lead the organization into a successful future. Desirable are knowledge of natural and organic foods and knowledge of/experience with cooperative business.
