Fundraising Sales Field Representative

Green Market Fundraising, Inc. is working as a program partner to New Jersey's Clean Energy ProgramTM (NJCEP) to increase energy efficiency throughout the state of New Jersey. Through its CFL light bulb fundraising program, Green Market Fundraising (GMF) facilitates the sale of compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) to raise funds for K-12 schools, universities and extracurricular student groups and provides environmental education for students on environmental issues.

GMF believes K-12 schools, universities and other extracurricular student groups will be motivated to participate in the program due to:

• 50% of Proceeds: Participating schools receive 50% of proceeds from CFL light bulb sales (an above average percentage for fundraising industry)
• Learn & Educate: GMF provides energy efficiency and climate change educational assemblies to students
• Support from GMF: GMF provides staff for distribution of CFL light bulbs to customers on designated delivery dates
• Lead in the Community: Students will be visible ambassadors of positive change in the community as they help reduce energy usage, increase energy efficiency and help New Jersey's environment
• Student Rewards: Individual prizes like the iPod shuffle, iTunes gift cards and Barnes & Noble gift cards are awarded to students that meet targeted fundraising levels

Responsibilities:

The Fundraising Sales Field Representative will work to engage schools and sign up schools to GMF's CFL light bulb fundraising program.

• GMF field rep to engage schools and explain fundraising program and benefits
• GMF field rep to facilitate signing up of 15-20 schools for 2009 fundraising program; school leads will be a combination of:
  o Sales Field Rep's pre-existing contacts at K-12 schools (PTOs, principals, teachers, etc.), universities and extracurricular student groups
  o GMF qualified leads with K-12 schools, universities and extracurricular student groups
• GMF field rep to explain benefits of CFLs and goals of New Jersey's Clean Energy ProgramTM

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• At a minimum, candidates who have experience selling in New Jersey schools (whether for fundraising or for other purposes)
• Ability to manage sales process simultaneously for 40-60 schools/groups
• Ability to sign up 15-20 schools/groups as an overall target for 2009
• Ability to communicate effectively with schools/groups and to act as the face of GMF to schools (representing GMF in a professional manner at all times)
• Ability to work independently and organize tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

• Sales professionals with fundraising experience and contacts at New Jersey schools
• Sales-oriented candidates who have prior experience in sales and marketing
• Eco-conscious individuals who are looking to make a difference and help the environment

This position is primarily a part-time position.

Compensation: This is a paid, commission-based position. Commission for this position is based on the number of bulbs sold through CFL fundraisers and the number of customer order forms completed.
