The U.S. Green Building Council, a Washington, DC-based national nonprofit organization of over 11,000 corporate and organizational members from every sector of the building industry united to transform the building marketplace to sustainability, is currently seeking a Functional Systems Analyst.
The Functional Systems Analyst will be responsible for interviewing Subject Matter Experts, documenting business processes into standardized template, filling in missing information in the process in order to produce a final product version.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Needs to determine functional requirements for a wide variety of business processes across USGBC Enterprise platforms
- Consults with and interviews subject matter experts to determine optimum design for business process documentation.
- Performs functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships.
- Writes and updates process documentation including business procedures and associated resources.
- Performs functional modeling based on business process analysis.
Required Experience:
- Analyst that has 3-5 years experience documenting business processes in MS Word and Visio (or other flowcharting software), UPerform would be a Plus.
- Strong technical and interface design skills, with the ability to match systems to business needs
- Ability to exercise discretion in selecting among alternate courses of action and recommend changes in approach, concepts and the design of solutions as a team member
- Knowledge of business requirements management
- Knowledge of business systems architecture
- Experience in initiation through deployment of one or more large implementation or upgrade project
- Experience with tools, utilities, software integration, systems design, application design methods
- Experience with business requirements analysis and functional specification development
- Experience in system and user support
- Working knowledge of business processes, system development and process improvement
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to lead and influence others
- Self-starter with ability to manage small initiatives independently
- Ability to perform a lead functional role on major projects
- Individual should be well organized and able to work independently with little oversight.

- Proficiency in the use of word processing and related software applications i.e., Microsoft Office and Visio (flowcharting).

Salary is $80-90k and includes an excellent benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid premiums on healthcare and employer-matching 401(k) program.
