Field Supervisor

JFNew is a progressive environmental consulting firm specializing in wetland and prairie restoration, native landscaping, stream stabilization, and natural resource consulting.

We are seeking qualified candidates for this opportunity in our Crete, Illinois office.

The majority of the work tasks will revolve around native plant installation and restoration projects and will include a significant amount of work in the field, project scheduling, materials and equipment procurement, client correspondence, project bidding and estimating activities, and field crew supervision.

• Candidates should possess a B.S. or M.S. in Ecology, Biology, Environmental Science, Botany, or a related field and have between 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
• A working knowledge of Midwestern region plant communities and ecosystems along with native plant community identification, installation, and management techniques is mandatory.
• Candidates with a broad landscaping background without experience with native plants may receive consideration.
• Candidates should possess a general understanding of light machinery and equipment operation/maintenance and those with experience in tractor operations, seeding, mowing, and herbicide applications will be given special consideration.
