Description
Friends of the St. Joe River, a non-profit organization created to provide a
viable, organized care taking program for the entire St. Joseph River, a
Michigan/Indiana river and its watershed, seeks Executive Director.
Needed is a leader with vision and ideas who is also a good manager of
people and paper. This full time position is grant funded and would be
renewable based on the abilities of the Executive Director to obtain
continued funding. Duties include: interacting with board and volunteers to
generate and put into action innovative approaches to protecting water
quality of the St. Joseph River, fund-raising, obtaining grants, managing
finances and representing Friends to the public.
Major qualifications: undergraduate or graduate degree preferred, technical,
and/or non-profit and conservation experience, creativity, ability to
manage, and networking.
