Description
Coordinate the planning, development, marketing and implementation of the National Hydrogen Association's Annual Hydrogen Conference (1,000 to 2,000 attendees) and two annual conferences of the U.S. Advanced Ceramics Association (100 to 400 attendees) Provide logistics support to client workshops, committee meetings, and TTC staff events
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordination support for clients:
? Assist client manager in maintaining conference communications and relationships with Boards of Directors, committees and staff
? Coordinate meetings, workshops and other events
? Create and energize client conference working committees
? Coordinate staff assigned to work on major events
? Develop marketing strategies for conferences/meetings
Conference and event planning and coordination:
? Site selection of hotel and convention center properties, with outsourced support
? Contract and vendor negotiation
? Marketing and promotion of events
? Logistics - meeting room assignments, food service, etc.
? Budgeting
? Staff assignments
? Registration systems
? Speaker coordination
? Preparation of conference materials
? Evaluation of successes and opportunities for improvement
SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
? College degree
? Two-years experience in support of one or more conferences; work for a major conference management firm or a major association event manager a plus
? Knowledge of standard meeting management skills and practices; marketing experience a plus
? Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
? Strong organizational skills, detail- and deadline-oriented

Compensation: $30,000 - $35,000
