Position Overview:
Currently we have an immediate need for an experienced Environmental Scientist / Planner who is ready to lead by example.
Responsibilities include:
- Field investigations for wetland delineations and determinations
- 401/404 permitting and mitigation planning
- Monitoring of wetland mitigation sites
- Identify wetland and upland plant species required for delineations
- Identify hydric soil types required for delineations
- Collect and analyze plant and soil samples
- Collect historical information from relevant sources for projects
- Write, format, and edit reports; prepare permit applications
- Phase I ESAs compliant to AAI and ASTM E 1527-05; NEPA documentation
- Extensive knowledge of IDNR, ACOE, IDOT, FHWA, and FAA regulations
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess 5-7 years experience as a Wetland Scientist. B.S. in a relevant environmental degree is required. Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communications skills, proven technical writing skills, ability to lead and motivate a team
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, and other IBM-compatible software is needed. Some travel required.
