Career Explorations gives high school students a "jump start " on their career planning by providing them with real-world work experiences in a nurturing and supervised environment created by a caring and dedicated staff. 

Position Overview: 

Career Explorations (CE) is looking for an environmental education professional to develop and facilitate our "Green Careers" Summer Workshop Program in Boston from June 28th, 2010 to July 23rd. In addition to teaching the class, this person will work with the CE Director of High School Programs to develop all aspects of the curriculum for a 4-week experiential education program focused on "green careers."

Responsibilities:

  • developing scope and sequence of the course and lesson plans
  • selection of textbook and other course materials
  • procuring weekly guest speakers
  • identifying partnerships with policymakers, non-profits, businesses, and other industry groups
  • facilitating all aspects of program instruction including teaching content, coordinating student projects, and managing relationship with third-party contacts involved in the program

Compensation: $5000 (subsidized housing available)
