The role of the Environmental Education Coordinator
includes planning, and implementing programs for
children’s outdoor activities with a strong emphasis
on Eastern Ontario’s natural environment, ecosystems,
plants, and fauna. The intention of the program is to
enhance children’s knowledge and appreciation of the
natural environment in a fun and interactive manner.
The coordinator will also be responsible for training
additional staff members to assist them with the
implementation of the program.

The addition of environmental education is a new
direction for Storyland. The program’s coordinator
will have a unique opportunity to lend considerable
influence over its future objectives and vision. The
ideal candidate will have: work experience with
young children, an understanding of the local
environment, strong interpersonal and public
speaking abilities, excellent organization skills,
a creative flair, a flexible work style, and
self-motivation.

Storyland is a family park located just outside of
Renfrew, Ontario, (100 kilometres west of Ottawa).
