Description
Irbaris is an advisory firm providing high level strategic advice on issues relating to carbon, climate change and clean technology. We work globally with leading companies, governments and cleantech businesses to advise them on issues around managing carbon, adapting to climate change and addressing issues related to water scarcity.
Position Overview:
We currently have openings for experienced consultants with 2 - 4 years experience, to start as soon as possible.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have 2-4 years experience in strategy consulting, either in one of the main strategy consulting houses (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Booz Allen Hamilton, etc), or from other leading firms with experience in carbon, climate change, cleantech and/or with particular experience in sectors such as energy, oil & gas and mining.
The preferred candidate will be a good listener who shows evidence of flexibility and an ability to think on his/her feet. The Irbaris team thrives on a mix of skills and backgrounds and the preferred candidate will be expected to contribute to that mix positively. In addition, Irbaris works globally and candidates should show a willingness to travel and to work internationally.
Candidate must:
- Hold a minimum 2:1 degree from a top university or foreign equivalent;
- Demonstrate excellent numeric and analytic skills; and,
- Show a high level of intellectual curiosity and an ability to learn quickly.
Ideal candidates will:
- Hold a degree within a numerate discipline (e.g. engineering, science, maths, economics); and,
- Speak a second language to a fluent level (Russian particularly relevant).
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK without restriction. Irbaris will not become involved in work permit issues on behalf of new hires.
Compensation: Package will be competitive.
