Yestermorrow Design/Build School is a 501c3 non-profit educational organization located in the Mad River Valley of Vermont offering workshops, certificate programs and semester programs for adult students from around the country. Yestermorrow's mission is to inspire people to create a better, more sustainable world by providing hands-on education that integrates design and craft as a creative, interactive process. Position Overview:

Yestermorrow Design/Build School in Waitsfield, VT seeks an Enrollment Director to spearhead enrollment in Yestermorrow's hands-on design/build programs. We are looking for a high energy team member who can use their creativity to bring more students to the school.

The Director is responsible for generating and responding to student inquiries, and building relationships with current and prospective students in order to meet their educational and career goals. The Enrollment Director sets targets, manages student enrollment in each program, takes registrations, and follows up on web and phone inquiries. They also administer a scholarship program and contribute to the creation and distribution of marketing media.

The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in customer service, communication, working in teams, social media, problem solving, self management and sales effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for enrollment of new students.
  • Direct the enrollment process from point of inquiry through registration, acting as the main point of contact for all program related phone calls and emails.
  • Return web inquiries and phone calls promptly to all potential students and provide them with accurate information about the programs requested.
  • Make outbound phone calls to potential students who have expressed interest in attending Yestermorrow.
  • Initiate unsolicited leads and generate new business when not responding to outstanding inquiries or working with current prospects or students.
  • Follow up with all inquiries that did not progress in the enrollment process and dropped/cancelled students to resolve any issues or address concerns.
  • Present the school to prospective students through tours of the campus, attendance at recruiting events, and one-on-one counseling via in-person appointments, phone calls and emails.
  • Track enrollment in all courses, certificate and semester programs.
  • Manage waitlists for classes in order to maintain maximum enrollment.
  • Counsel students on course selection.
  • Work with Certificate students and advisors on development of Practicum projects.
  • Work with the ED and Curriculum Director to develop an annual course budget and enrollment targets.
  • Work with the Development and Communications Director to create appropriate admissions and marketing materials, ads, mailings, web pages, publications and social media that promote the school to prospective students.
  • Organize and administer the program for scholarships and financial aid, including GI Bill, Americorps and other state and federal funding.
  • Develop and oversee a network of alumni and faculty to assist in enrollment.
  • Track volume of inquiries and enrollment through monthly Enrollment Reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Occasional weekend and evening work is required in this position.

As the Enrollment Director you are the student's first impression of our school and need to have professional appearance, manners and great interpersonal skills. We are looking for someone with a customer service focus and a passion for helping people, who is excited about Yestermorrow's mission and programs. This position is all about building relationships and requires someone who can really listen, understand, and empathize with the needs of the student and help them reach their goals.
