Energy Star Marketing Account Representative

D&R International is an energy and environmental consulting firm that supports the U.S. DOE and U.S. EPA's ENERGY STAR program. Based in Silver Spring, D&R works with state governments, utilities, product manufacturers and national retailers to help build sustainable markets for resource efficient products and services.

D&R is seeking a junior account representative to work with Senior Managers to develop and implement marketing plans for ENERGY STAR qualified programs. The position entails working with manufacturers and utilities to develop marketing ideas, and then coordinating with retailers on execution. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing data on energy efficiency program efforts nationally, understanding market trends and consumer perceptions of efficiency, producing timely, thoughtful reports on various initiatives nationwide, and preparing detailed written and oral strategic briefings for clients. 

The ideal candidate is committed to market-based solutions to resource efficiency issues, demonstrates creative thinking and personal initiative, and handles the demands of a rapidly changing work environment. Excellent oral and written communications skills and attention to detail a must, as well as the ability to balance multiple priorities. Experience with marketing and/or energy related issues a plus. Must possess a bachelor's degree or better, 1-3 years work experience in a related field, and have a proven track record of success in working with multiple internal and external clients.

This position is in our Silver Spring, Maryland office. Salary commensurate with experience.
