Tri-City Community Action Program, Inc. works in Everett, Malden, Medford, and surrounding communities to help eliminate the conditions that cause and perpetuate poverty.

Position Overview:

Tri-CAP is seeking an Energy Conservation Coordinator to manage its energy conservation programs. The Energy Conservation Coordinator is responsible for overseeing energy conservation services to low income households, including weatherization, heating system, and energy efficiency programs.

Responsibilities:

  • responsible for program planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as budget oversight and reporting.
  • assume overall responsibility for training, development, and supervision of Energy Conservation technical and administrative staff.
  • oversee and conduct energy, utility, and heating system audits as well as in process and quality control inspections; and will be responsible for ensuring that all state and federal technical and regulatory requirements of the program are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of management/supervisory/administrative experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of energy conservation principles and applications, including insulation, blower door air sealing, weather stripping, and heating systems.
  • Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) certified energy auditor and/or previous contractor experience or oil burner's license preferred.
  • BPI, LEED certification a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access).
  • Energetic, flexible, highly motivated, and well-organized.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Understanding of low income populations.
  • Vehicle and a valid MA driver's license required.

Compensation:  Salary commensurate with experience.
