Electrician

IPPsolar develops, finances, owns and operates solar power generation facilities in commercial and industrial properties. Our area of coverage is the whole North East.

Position Overview:

IPPsolar is looking for a full-time, experienced electrician who can help the company build its own installation arm. The ideal candidate has entrepreneurial aspirations and seeks a role to lead a team of electricians as the company grows and builds larger systems.

Responsibilities:

• Construction Phase: Install electrical circuit for commercial photovoltaic systems (50-100 kW DC)
• Operations Phase: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of the system, troubleshooting, repair of electrical equipment

This position is suitable for an electrician looking for a very stable position over a long period of time.

Qualifications:

• NY license
• NYSERDA certification
• A minimum of 10 years experience
• Experience in PV installation is required
• Comfortable working as part of a team, self-motivated, flexible
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record

Compensation: TBD based on experience and skills. Long term commitment will be compensated accordingly.
