Position Overview:
We are looking for an Electrical Power Systems Engineer with an EIT certificate and 4 to 8 years experience working in a professional engineering firm. Our ideal candidate will have experience in power distribution design and construction including a background as an electric utility distribution engineer with a solid understanding of protective relaying schemes. Past experience should include power distribution, lighting, emergency power generation, control circuit design including PLC and SCADA systems, and electrical design in Classified Hazardous areas. The candidate shall have a complete understanding of the NEC. Experience in engineering and construction of Renewable Energy, Water and Wastewater Systems is a plus.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Power Systems Engineering is required. The candidate must be able to obtain a professional license within 2 years of hire. The candidate must be proficient at developing electrical plans using AutoCAD 2010, writing electrical specifications, reviewing design documentation, estimating design and construction costs, performing electrical power calculations, and creating professional reports. Candidates must be able to travel locally in New England for project meetings.
