Motor Excellence, LLC is a high energy, team oriented company focused on developing and commercializing high performance electric motors. Our rapidly growing team is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Modeler to design motors and further refine our technology. Motor Excellence has a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you will be working with cutting-edge technical issues that are found only at the forefront of research and development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Develop an in-depth understanding of ME's unique motor topologies and relevant electromagnetic principles.
- Design electric motors and generators using Solidworks. Training will be provided.
- Be trained and become proficient in ME's magnetic modeling system.
- Model motors and generators in ME's modeling system.
- Participate in new developments in ME's motor/generator technology.
- Work on testing and cataloging various soft magnetic and hard magnetic materials.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in electrical circuit design, modeling and analysis is required.
- Electro-mechanical systems knowledge.
- Excellent knowledge electrical and electromagnet systems.
- Work well under tight schedules and time pressures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in MatLab
- Excellent math skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced, multi-disciplined team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in design, lay out, building and troubleshooting printed circuit boards.
- Experience in electric motor design and development.
- Programming experience helpful.
- Experience in Solidworks based product design will be helpful, but training will be provided.
