The Education Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to senior Education & Research department staff, including handling calls and email traffic, scheduling meetings and educational programs, planning travel, preparing documents, filing and copying... all in a fast-paced office environment. Candidates should have the ability to work well with a diverse professional staff, take on special projects and work independently. 

 

Specific Responsibilities Include: 

  • Schedule and coordinate logistics for staff meetings and in-house education programming 
  • Prepare correspondence, documents, presentations and reports 
  • Coordinate travel logistics 
  • Handle telephone messages and correspondence 
  • Maintain directory of professional contacts 
  • Process expense reimbursement requests 
  • Process department timesheets and expense reports 
  • Manage staff travel/leave calendar 
  • Handle general administrative tasks and special projects as needed
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelors degree preferred 
  • 1-3 years professional office experience 
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks 
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Strong organizational and computer skills (MS Office) 
  • Commitment to USGBC Mission
Salary mid to upper $20k's with excellent benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid premiums on healthcare and employer-matching 401(k) program.
