Placer County Resource Conservation District is a local unit of government that operates as a Special District within the State of California. PCRCD is governed by a local Board of Directors, and receives its funding through a permanent tax rate, contracts and grants.

PCRCD staff provides conservation related technical assistance and outreach to the citizens of Placer County to address diverse agriculture and natural resources issues including sustaining our soils and water and the proper and wise use of our lands. PCRCD works in partnership with the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and other agencies and organizations within the Central Sierra Nevada region.

Position Overview:

This position serves as the District Manager for the Placer County Resource Conservation District (PCRCD). The District Manager is in charge of day-to-day operations and supervision of PCRCD personnel at the office located in Auburn, California. The District Manager coordinates PCRCD programs and activities; provides assistance to Placer County landowners, various entities, and groups; and represents the PCRCD in dealings with agencies, elected officials and other organizations.

Qualifications:

Master of Science degree and experience as a Resource Conservation District Manager of a similar organization is desirable. However, a combination of 3 or more years of relevant work experience in agribusiness or natural resources project management and a Bachelor's of Science degree in 1 of the following disciplines; Agricultural Sciences, Agribusiness, Conservation Planning, Forestry, Fisheries, Wildlife Biology/Ecology, Hydrology, Botany or Horticulture may satisfy.

The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career and work experience in agribusiness or natural resource project management.
