Position Overview:
This Director of Wind Energy will specifically be responsible for overseeing GENIVAR Wind's Project Development department providing expertise to our clients with respect to wind farm development including all regulatory and commercial aspects within the region of Western Canada. This position will oversee multiple projects within the region, and where needed act as a senior project manager for specific clients and projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building capacity and capabilities within the department reporting directly to the Vice President of Wind Energy. This position will also be responsible for overseeing GENIVAR Wind's Business Development efforts within Western Canada reporting to the Vice President of Development.
The Director of Wind Energy will also be responsible for maintaining relationships and identifying new opportunities within our current and potential clients. This position will also be responsible for developing business strategy for the region.
Qualifications:
- Passion for Wind Energy
- Knowledge, experience and expertise with wind energy development Wind Energy Project Management expertise and experience Financial modeling and pro-forma analysis
- A proven team leader who generates enthusiasm
- 5+ Years of experience within Wind Energy Development or Wind Resource Assessment
- An Engineering or Business background with an emphasis on wind energy technical capability
