Position Overview:

Co-op America seeks a Director of Online Programs to direct, innovate and expand our online programs, including our extensive web sites.  This position will lead the effort to develop the roadmap for the development of all of our web and online activities.  The position will also develop business opportunities and partnerships for our online programs, with the goal of doubling online revenues within 2-3 years and significantly expanding our web traffic and content placement, and community interaction (Web 2.0).

This position will lead our Internet Strategies Team, which is an inter-departmental team that includes our Technology Director and Web Developer from our Technology Department; our Online Editor and Online Outreach Coordinator from our Corporate Responsibility Programs Department; our Online Marketing Specialist from our Marketing Department; and our Green Business Network Deputy Director from our Green Business Department. This position is responsible for developing and executing program strategy to meet both social change and business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct Co-op America's Online Program
  • Lead Co-op America's Internet Strategies Team, working collaboratively with the team to develop the annual work plan and budget, and determine priorities for the Online Program.
  • Work with the Internet Strategies Team to set and achieve goals for revenue, e-newsletter subscribers, content, media/visibility, action campaigns and technology infrastructure.
  • Lead the organization's process to redevelop our web site(s) in concert with Co-op America's new name and branding strategy.
  • Develop the roadmap for the future Co-op America's Online Programs
  • Lead the effort to develop the roadmap for the next evolution of Co-op America's online program
  • Working in partnership with our Technology Director and Director of Strategic Programs, develop the technology roadmap for the next stages of Co-op America's Online Programs
  • Business Development
  • Develop revenue and funding for expansion of Co-op America's Online Programs
  • Develop partnerships for Co-op America content placement and online media exposure

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 5+ years in developing and managing major online program(s)
  • Proven track record of business development for online projects that resulted in major revenue and content opportunities
  • Experience with business strategy and development
  • Ability to create and manage strategic relationships and alliances
  • Formal proposal writing experience
  • High level of understanding and buy-in of Co-op America's vision, mission, and goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities and the persistence to pursue them
  • Highly motivated, independent self-starter with excellent problem solving skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to lead and work well in a team

Compensation: $50,000-60,000 DOE Benefits:4-day work week, medical, dental, vacation, sick days, holidays, and flexible hours. Supervisor:Marketing and Development Director.
