Position Overview

Boulder Brands is searching for a Director of Sales in three regions: Northeast, South/Southeast and Midwest/Rocky Mountains. The Director Sales will report directly to the VP, Natural Channel.

Responsibilities 

The position is responsible for the following business manager responsibilities: 

  • Identifying, managing and developing relationships with new and existing customers to maximize sales and profitable revenue growth. 
  • Providing leadership and training of the regional broker organization while leading them in developing customer specific sales plans delivering company objectives. 
  • A "self-starter" who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative team environment. 
  • Strong data analysis capabilities and exceptional business management skills are key requirements for this position. 
  • The person in this role can be based out of his or her region. 

Essential Duties: 

  • Manage broker sales teams to ensure delivery of business objectives through distribution, volume, share, promotions, new items and spending objectives.
  • Defines specific strategic business objectives to maximize sales, share growth and enhanced profitability within assigned customer. Leads the development of Customer/ Market/Category/Brand strategies, objectives and tactics as identified by the HQ business development team.
  • Initiate enhanced customer relationships across all levels to drive account specific goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for the development and delivery of timely sales forecasts, reports and other key metrics related to the company's business plan.
  • Effectively manages both volume and spending to deliver the brand financial objectives for each customer.
  • Participates strategically and tactically with the VP in the development and management of the region's business. 

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years field sales experience in the Natural Channel.
  • Broker team management experience with direct sales calls history.
  • Developed and executed strategic and tactical sales plans including quotas, account sales and distribution objectives, shelf-category management experience, and category data analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Problem solver with strong communication skills and a savvy negotiator.
  • Experience in customer planning and execution. 
  • Must be extremely well organized and detail-oriented.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel. 
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate customer and group meetings. 
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast paced, highly matrixed and dynamic environment. 

Education: 

  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA is a plus. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • Manages and trains Broker sales team. 

Travel: 

  • 50% Travel.
