Director of Quality

Position Overview:

The Synergy Company is seeking a Director of Quality. This is a key position in a company which is renowned for its uncompromising approach to quality at every level. Synergy's culture of quality pervades every aspect of the organization, from manufacturing to marketing. This position will be a driving force in upholding and strengthening the company's deep and long-standing commitment to set the standards for quality in our industry.

Responsibilities:

• The Director of Quality is directly responsible for the company's cGMP compliance of the Food and Drug Administration 21 CFR Part 111 Current Good Manufacturing Practice in Manufacturing, Packaging, Labeling, or Holding Operations for Dietary Supplements.
• The Director implements, maintains, and directs the quality system to ensure the consistent quality of products and services according to internal, regulatory and legal standards.
• The Director monitors regulations and certifications applicable to company operations to assist with compliance according to internal policies, regulatory agencies and legal standards.
• The Director is directly responsible for implementation of all regulations related to labeling and for managing Synergy's certified organic and kosher programs. 
• The Director of Quality will be responsible for managing all quality and regulatory aspects of Synergy's multifaceted business, which includes three distinct divisions: 

1. Branded products - sold to the North American market, primarily through direct to consumer channels.

2. Branded products - sold to the international market (Japan, Germany, Taiwan, UK) through exclusive distribution agreements

3. Wholefood powdered ingredients - sold domestically and internationally through B to B channels.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 5-7 years experience in a comparable director-level position.
• Canidates must possess proven skills in setting and obtaining quality goals, directing staff, and evaluating information to solve problems.
• Candidates must also have strong verbal and written communication skills and an impeccable eye for detail.
