The National Foundation for Ectodermal Dysplasias (NFED) is located in the St. Louis region will all that a major metropolitan area has to offer.
Position Overview:
The NFED seeks to engage an enterprising and experienced individual to develop and implement a comprehensive development plan. With a solid strategic plan in place, the Director of Development will meet with major donors, be responsible for planned giving and will seek grants and corporate and foundation relationships.
The Director of Development will have an experienced associate that currently manages general donations, special events and 3rd party fundraisers. The Director of Development's leadership will encompass all development programs to assure continuing and expanding support for the NFED's programs and will be expected to travel extensively in the United States.
Qualifications:
Our successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree and a successful and proven record of experience particularly in the areas of planned giving, major gifts, and grants. This is a full time position ideal for an individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail and execution. The ability to work effectively and sensitively with our families, volunteeers, our Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory Council and an experienced staff is a must. If you are a self-starter and highly motivated who can work independently to achieve goals, the NFED is the place for you.
Compensation: Comprehensive benefits and a salary commensurate with the Director of Development's experience and vision for development are being offered.
